Sit & Stitch Community

This group gathers weekly on Thursday mornings at the Family Life Center for fellowship and to work on individual needle arts projects as well as prayer shawls to give away.  Prayer shawl patterns are provided.  The group welcomes new “stitchers" at any time.

This group has also undertaken the mission of knitting or crocheting prayer shawls for Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (PS4FS). PS4FS is a national coalition of Prayer Shawl Ministries that gives handmade prayer shawls to the families of soldiers who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the initial five months, 108 prayer shawl groups have sent 600 gifts to American families of fallen soldiers.
