Susi is a life-long Clevelander, was raised in the Methodist church, then became Catholic in 1992. She attended Ursuline College and earned a Master’s degree in Ministry in 1999. In 2005, experiencing a disconnect with Catholic teachings and a strong call to Ordination, she left the Catholic Church and joined Federated.  She became a licensed minister, and in 2009 served Bainbridge Community UCC as their pastor.

In December 2011, Susi returned to Federated church to serve as interim part-time Associate. In 2014 she accepted Federated's call as the Associate Pastor of Worship Planning & Faith Formation, and was officially ordained and installed later that year.

She also continues to work in a Real Estate office part-time and is married to Rich, a teacher at Laurel School in Shaker Hts.

Rev. Mark Simone

Associate Pastor of Family Ministries

     440.463.9439 ext. 101

msimone@fedchurch.org

Mark joined the staff at Federated Church in1989 as youth pastor. He still loves teenagers everywhere.  People wonder when he’ll “grow up” and become a real pastor. After over 38 years in youth ministry, Mark believes he pastors the church of the future while ministering to youth in the present.

Born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio, Mark served in the church of his childhood, First Congregational Church. Education: undergraduate degree (dual major in psychology and sociology) from Kent State University and a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Mark is married to Kathy Simone, artist and teacher at Orange Schools.  They have four kids and six grandkids, all residing in Chagrin Falls – which means lots of family dinners and a little too much babysitting!
