Palm/Passion Sunday - March 25
9:00 and 11:00 am
The rafters will ring with joyful Hosannas at the beginning of each service as we recreate the excitement of Jesus' ride into Jerusalem with a palm processional featuring the littlest among us. Jubilant songs will give way to somber, plaintive hymns in preparation for the journey into darkness that comes before the dawn of Easter. Our Liturgical Dance group “Leap of Faith” will help bring a scripture story to life.
Maundy Thursday - March 29
This haunting evening service set in the shadows is a stark reminder of the price of sacrifice in our lives, whether it was Jesus’ ultimate gift or the ways in which we interact with those around us by washing feet, feeding others, or dying to that which ultimately doesn’t serve humanity. A combined choir and soloists will provide haunting and prayerful music that end the service with the strains of "Were You There..." as we leave in silence and reverence.
Good Friday Stations of the Cross Walk - March 30
12:00 - 2:00 pm
Participants from Christian churches of the Chagrin Valley will journey two miles to commemorate the footsteps of Jesus Christ on his journey along the way of the Cross. Beginning and ending at the Gazebo in downtown Chagrin Falls, there will be 14 stops on which to pray and to reflect during the route. All ages are encouraged to participate. Wear red if you have it. Please meet Susi Kawolics at the Gazebo at noon if you are interested in doing one of the short readings or prayer.
