Federated Church provides space for Chagrin Falls Meals on Wheels, Inc. Monday through Friday mornings in the Family Life Center commercial kitchen.

Chagrin Falls Meals-On-Wheels, Inc. is a local non-profit, volunteer-staffed home delivered meal service. They receive no government subsidy and their program is available to all regardless of income. This service provides nutritionally balanced meals to recipients in eastern Cuyahoga and southwestern Geauga counties.

Nourishing meals are delivered to elderly and disabled persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. Participants of any age must be homebound due to illness or physical limitations.

A volunteer driver plus a rider deliver each meal to a recipient while checking the safety and well-being of the recipient as well as the condition of the home. With caring volunteers delivering the meals, recipients are able to continue independent living in their own homes. Nutritious meals are planned and prepared by a professional cook (the only paid staff person) and a team of kitchen volunteers Monday through Friday.

Payment is requested but no one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. An annual fundraising letter is sent to the community requesting donations. These donations keep MOW from being in a monthly deficit and allows them to maintain a reasonable per diem charge to recipients.

To provide nutrition, independence and caring to recipients in the Chagrin Valley.

To offer nutritious meals at a reasonable cost through the coordinated efforts of the cook and board of directors.

To solicit both financial and volunteer support from the community to sustain our meal service program.

To recognize and appreciate the dedication of volunteers who contribute time and talent in serving this organization.

For more information visit the Chagrin Falls Meals on Wheels website  or call them at the Federated Church Family Life Center kitchen, 440.543.1405, during meal preparation hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 11:00 am

We regularly host blood drives in Fellowship Hall to help the Red Cross save lives by maintaining a supply of donated blood for emergency use.

Donors can sign up for a scheduled time with the Red Cross by going to www.redcrossblood.org.  Our events are listed under the date and Federated Church. Or, you can stop by when you have free time and be a walk-in donor!

Sign up with a friend – what a wonderful way to introduce Federated to them! All blood types are in demand.

To volunteer your help with the canteen the day of the blood drive or for any other questions, please contact Carole Mason at wfmason36@gmail.com.
