Re-Imagining the Sunday Experience... RISE to Shine!


Sunday mornings at Federated, get ready to RISE! Council’s Task Force for Re-Imagining the Sunday Experience gathered your reactions to five prototypes for re-imagining a worship experience that opens our doors and horizons to new light. The charge was to imagine the kind of worship experience that responds to the needs of a younger generation and that cultivates a rich sense of the presence of God in fresh and relevant ways. 


From 11:30 am-12:15 pm, we offer “RISE to Shine” to shine God’s light in spirited, eclectic and relevant worship, featuring excellent music and participation alongside an enriching sermon.


This shortened service is family-oriented, innovative and progressive. We've modernized worship to bring something different than what you will find at our traditional 10 am service. Music selections are performed by our RISE to Shine band. You'll want to (and are encouraged to) sing along to the catchy tunes. Pop in and be our guest to experience it for yourself... and bring a friend! As always, we welcome individuals from all walks of life to worship with us. We hope to see you some Sunday soon.

FOR KIDS

INFANTS, TODDLERS, PRESCHOOLERS

We love infants and toddlers at Federated!  We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and age appropriate environment for your little ones while you attend church service.  Our paid childcare providers have undergone full background checks and drug screening.  They are consistently here for easy transitions when parting with your child.  Our goal for our nursery is to model God’s love for your child by providing quality care. We also have a Parents Room adjacent to the Sanctuary on Bell Street where parents can worship with their little ones, though children are always welcome to come into the Santctuary with you!



Kids Cove (Room 20) is available for those little ones infant through age 5. The first half of the service is reserved for free play, followed by a short Sunday School lesson that takes place using First Look, a curriculum designed specifically for the littlest learners.  This curriculum focuses on communicating three basic truths through the use of Bible stories, videos, activities, music and crafts.  

These truths are:
    *God made me.
    *God loves me.
    *Jesus wants to be my friend forever.


FOR KINDERGARTNERS - 5th GRADERS

At RISE to Shine, kids are encouraged to go into the Sanctuary with their families. There is a nook by the stairwell so that children can still be listening to the service while participating in activities.
