December 8    5-8pm

Federated Church

(76 Bell St., Chagrin Falls, OH 44022)

Imagine the look of awe on a young child’s face as he sees Baby Jesus lying in his mother’s arms… the stirring in young parents’ hearts as they introduce their children to the true meaning of Christmas… hundreds of people coming together to experience the journey to Bethlehem live…

On December 8, Federated Church will present its fifth annual Search for the Christ Child, an interactive journey to Bethlehem, and celebrate the birth of Christ with the entire community. This year, join us as we gather at our Bell Street location (76 Bell St.).

Visitors will be welcomed at the Camelback Inn where the census will be taken. Small groups will travel together led by Shepherd Guides who tell of the birth of the Son of God. On a journey back in time, travelers encounter angels, shepherds, and live animals during their search for the child. They seek help from wise men, stop at King Herod’s Palace and pass through a bustling marketplace. Ultimately, travelers arrive at the nativity. Here, in the stable, this tiny baby is the hope of the world.

Light refreshments of hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Small activity bags will also be provided to young children.

Appropriate for all ages. This event is free and open to the community!

Donations of canned goods and a freewill offering will be accepted.
