OUR SISTER CHURCH
ST PAUL'S COMMUNITY CHURCH
Federated Church has a long-standing relationship with St. Paul's Community Church, on the near west side of Cleveland (Ohio City). We raise funds and gather resources to support the many programs there that are so important to that inner city neighborhood.
WE PARTNER WITH
LOAVES & FISHES
SOUP KITCHEN
On the last Sunday of each month, volunteers from Federated travel to St. Paul's to prepare and serve a meal to the those in that neighborhood whose resources might be running low at the end of the month.
To help with this ministry, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the volunteers currently leading this ministry.
THRIFT
SHOP
A St. Paul's collection closet is available off the parking lot of Federated's Bell Street building. Household goods and clothing left in this closet are taken to St. Paul's by volunteers each week for sale at their Thrift Shop.
Please make sure that any clothes left are sorted by gender and age and are appropriate to the season.
PARISH
NURSE MINISTRY
The Parish Nurse Ministry at St. Paul's is vital to the community at St. Paul's, particularly to those who are homeless. Funds and supplies are collected as needed to support this ministry in the inner city.
CHRISTMAS
SALE
Each year early in December donations of unwrapped gift items, such as toys, hats, gloves, etc., are collected at Federated to give to St. Paul's. The items are made available at reduced prices to people in the St. Paul's community who are shopping for gifts for their families.
BACK TO SCHOOL
SALE
Every year in July & August donated school supplies and backpacks are collected at Federated and taken to St. Paul's for their Back-To-School Sale.
Our donations help the children of that neighborhood get off to a great start when school starts in mid-August and help stretch the budget for their parents.
INGATHERING
& FOOD PANTRY
Throughout November, Federated collects non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys to give to St. Paul's where the times are assembled into Thanksgiving baskets that are distributed to families who would not otherwise have a special holiday meal. This endeavor typically requires about 70 turkeys.
Throughout the rest of the year, non-perishable food items are collected in the shopping cart that remains permanently parking the lobby of our Bell Street building. Donations are always welcome. They will be taken to St. Paul's as part of the weekly trip to deliver thrift store donations.
